The relationship between over-claiming and truancy: Using the over-claiming technique on PISA 2012 data
Mayerová, Kateřina ; Voňková, Hana (advisor) ; Papajoanu, Ondřej (referee)
This thesis addresses the issue of the association between the over-claiming technique (OCT) and truancy based on data collected in the PISA 2012 student questionnaire. First, it summarises the theoretical background on the PISA survey, over-claiming of self-reported knowledge and related research to date, and truancy. In general, the paper aims to investigate whether there is a relationship between over-claiming of knowledge and truancy and whether there are differences in this relationship across the countries and economics involved in the 2012 PISA survey. The relationships between truancy and over-claiming of knowledge turned out to be statistically significant, although the correlation values are low. The highest values can be observed between at least some familiarity with non-existing concepts and truancy variables, between at least some familiarity with existing concepts and truancy variables, and between accuracy index and truancy variables. These relationships are most pronounced in South Korea, Macau, Taipei, Australia, New Zealand, Estonia, Lithuania, Hungary, Slovakia, Spain, Ireland, Iceland and the UK. The bachelor's thesis focuses on the area of truancy in secondary schools. The aim is to identify, describe and interpret the level of truancy among secondary school students. The theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to the definition of truancy, its types, the most frequently identified causes, the anchoring of truancy in the current legislation of the Czech Republic and the possibilities of schools in dealing with it. The practical part is then devoted to the quantitative research itself, in the form of a questionnaire survey to answer the main research question, namely what are the most frequent causes and degree of truancy among students of se-condary vocational schools, secondary vocational schools and four-year grammar schools. The questionnaire was distributed through a link on the Internet and the results are analyzed in detail in graphs.

Furthermore, the thesis investgates correlation between truancy and its tolerance and prevention from the perspective of teachers, school and parents. The theoretical part at first introduces and defines the concept of risk behaviour, risk factors and selected manifestations of risk behaviour. This is followed by a chapter focused on truancy itself, defining, categorizing and delineating its causes and consequences, not forgetting the legislative framework of truancy. It also discusses the period of adolescence that secondary school students go through and also looks at the prevention of risky behaviour of individuals and the intervention of truancy from the perspective of the school during this period. Motivation of students of the selected grammar school for truancy
Slámová, Magdaléna ; Machovcová, Kateřina (advisor) ; Richterová, Magdalena (referee)
My work focuses on students' motives for truancy, which Salavcová (2017) explains as the unexcused absence of a primary or secondary school student from class. Kyriacou (2004) considers this phenomenon as crucial due to the possibility of indicating the proper functioning of the educational system. At the core of the theoretical part are the causes of this pathological phenomenon, which Thambirajah a col. (2008) categorizes into several categories such as those on the side of the student, on the side of the family, on the side of the peers, on the side of the school and cases where the student is in a difficult life situation. Čapek (2014) sees the most common causes in fear of written tests, disinterest in school, bullying. I used this breakdown of causes in the subsequent practical part, which was conducted as qualitative research in the form of a semi-structured interview with seven students from a selected high school, an educational counsellor and a prevention methodologist. In the analysis of the interviews, I focused mainly on the probands' motivation for truancy and the factors that ended their truancy. The study resulted in an extended model of the causes of truancy that almost matched the most common factors mentioned by Čapek (2014), except for the factor of bullying. In my case, these were...

The analysis of the acquired data will be done through open coding. At the end of the thesis there will be mentioned several theoretical findings resulting from the informant’s answers and subsequent recommendations for pedagogical practice.
The Development of financing of social prevention services for families with children
HRUBEŠOVÁ, Nikola
The aim of my bachelor thesis was to focus on the mapping the development of financing of social prevention services for families with children. The fundamental aspect of the defined aim was to find out how the grant proceeding allocated to the social services was evolved for the families with children. The secondary analysis was used to determine the necessary data. This analysis mainly concerned the data contained in the subsidy proceedings documents of the MPSV ČR, South Bohemia and Central Bohemia. The dates were available for both regions. The processed tables, which form part of my bachelor thesis, point to the financing of social services for families with children in a concrete form. I focused my attention on four organizations in the South Bohemian Region that focus on working with children and families. Subsequently, I also worked with the register of providers of social services of the MPSV ČR. The facilities from this register have been selected and are also included in social prevention services where the services are only provided to families with children. Then I focused on the reception centers for mothers with children, the low-threshold facilities for children and youth and the social activating services for families with children. I also focused my research on the social prevention services for families with children in the Central Bohemia Region. The introductory part of my bachelor thesis is mainly focused on defining terms from the field of the social services and on the characteristics of other essential terms related to the social services. In the next part I focus on the family with children, work with the family, which is threatened by the socially pathogenic phenomena. The following chapters of my bachelor thesis describe some types of the socio-pathological phenomena that may occur in the family, such as truancy in children or the influence of a family that significantly deform children's development. The final part of the thesis is dedicated a more detailed description of the individual tables, where individual organizations of the South Bohemian Region are presented. The closer attention is dedicated to the Central Bohemia Region here.

Risk Behaviour from the Staffs´ Perspective of the Authority Children´s Protection.
ŠESTÁKOVÁ, Markéta
The bachelor thesis deals with the high - risk behaviour from the staffs´ perspective of the authority children´s protection. The goal of my bachelor thesis was to find out the typical forms of risky behaviour which the officials of the authority of children´s social care law most often encounter and whether the personnel authority of children´s social care law perceive eating disorders as a risky behaviour. In connection with these objectives, I have set the following hypotheses as follows: The officials of the authority of children´s social care law encounter with all nine types of risky behaviour and eating disorders are perceived by the officials of the authority of children´s social care law as a risky behaviour. For processing the data in the empirical part I have chosen the quantitative research, which proceeded with the use of questionnaire enquiry. The research sample consisted of fourteen social workers, specifically curators for children and youth operating on the authority of children´s social care law in the South Bohemian Region. The results show that the officials of children´s social care law most often encounter truancy of their clients, then bullying, cyber bullying, sexual risky behaviour and substance dependence. The responses show that risky behaviour occurs more often in extracurricular environment. The majority of responders are inclined to think of the primary prevention of risky behaviour in the education system as not sufficient. In connection with the second aim, which is focused on eating disorders, the most of the respondents said they agreed with the inclusion of eating disorders to risk-taking behaviour. For the most common eating disorder they encounter is anorexia nervosa as they marked. In their point of view is not, in the context of prevention at schools, taken sufficient account of the issue of eating disorders and the risks associated with them. Among their clients who got ill from eating disorder, most often cooperate with their families or refer to appropriate professional help. Based on these results, it should be noted that the first hypothesis with the results diverges, whereas the second hypothesis is with them in correspond. The research results could serve as an information material for the officials of the authority of children´s social care law. Furthermore, it is possible to embrace the basis for the educators working with at-risk group of pupils. They can also be beneficial for the improvement of cooperation between the school and the official of the social services or between educators in the creation of the minimum preventive programme.
